Yellow Pages (TSX:Y), a leading digital media and marketing solutions company in Canada, announced the Toronto launch of YP Dine, an innovative new mobile app dedicated to the restaurant and dining sector.

Designed with "foodies" in mind, the YP Dine app helps Canadians make dining choices based primarily on mood and/or activity. These include "happy hour", "weekend brunch", "lunch with coworkers", "late night eats" and "quick dinner fixes" to name a few. The app also allows standard searches for eateries by name or location.

YP Dine joins YP Shopwise, an award-winning smart shopping and deals app, as the second in the lifestyle app offering by Yellow Pages as the company continues its investment in mobile media.

"In the dining segment, there's a need for a simplified product to help people make new dining discoveries or easily find ideas or suggestions without having a specific location or cuisine in mind. YP Dine offers a content-rich experience that facilitates dining decisions while at the same time is transactional, providing the ability to make reservations and ordering online," said Nicolas Gaudreau, Chief Marketing Officer of Yellow Pages. "YP Dine also showcases the unique food attitudes and dining habits of each region across Canada by providing an intuitive search along with curated content from local chefs and foodies in each market."

The app also integrates top picks or "playlists" by local chefs or restaurant owners, sharing their favourite discoveries in local eateries such as dim sum, sports bars, brunch and lunch spots, among others. It also allows the potential for online ordering from within the app - making YP Dine truly a one-stop shop for foodies.

The acquisitions of Bookenda and Dine.TO by Yellow Pages in December 2014 have seen the functionalities of the two services integrated into YP Dine. These include the ability to receive deals available at local restaurants, access and publish reviews, preview menus, and make reservations.

With its Toronto launch, YP Dine is now available in a number of Canadian cities including Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary and will expand to other regions incrementally. It is available for iPhone and can be downloaded via the App Store or at yellowpages.ca/dine .

YP Dine joins the Yellow Pages network of digital properties which sees over 1 million visitors each day. Approximately 55% or $450 million of Yellow Pages' total annual revenues are derived exclusively from digital products and services.
