Yellow Pages (TSX:Y), a leading provider of digital media and marketing solutions for small businesses, announced today the opening of a second office location in Montreal, in addition to the company's existing national headquarters location on Nun's Island.

Located in the Nordelec building in Pointe-Saint-Charles, the new 35,000 square foot Yellow Pages location is spread over two floors and will house the company's rapidly expanding mobile development and digital media teams. During 2013 and 2014 alone, Yellow Pages added over 300 positions in IT and digital media development to its workforce, the majority based in Montreal.

The company has grown rapidly in the digital space with over 50% or $440 million of its annual revenues now stemming exclusively from digital products and related services. Yellow Pages' rapid evolution in this area enables its 260,000 small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers to access turn-key marketing solutions and services in online, mobile, search engine and social media that are designed and built to meet needs specific to the Canadian SMB segment.

"We act as the bridge, in both digital and traditional media, between Canadians and local businesses in towns and cities, big and small, across the country," said Julien Billot, President and Chief Executive Officer of Yellow Pages. "Consumer mobile media is a fast growing segment as over half of Canadians now use smartphones regularly. It's imperative that Canadian businesses are able to master this space quickly. Our Yellow Pages - Nordelec location is devoted to developing apps and digital properties that not only provide relevant, local information for Canadians but create forums for small businesses to tap into new audiences and potential customers."

The Nordelec location is the eleventh office location of Yellow Pages in Canada, which also holds an additional five locations across the country for its various divisions and companies. Of the 2,900 Yellow Pages employees across Canada, approximately 1,100 are part of its Montreal operations.

"Businesses headquartered in Quebec, like Yellow Pages, are of enormous value to our economy as they create high-value jobs and are epicentres of economic activity," said Jacques Daoust, Quebec Economy, Innovation and Exports Minister. "We welcome the initiative of Yellow Pages in the creation of this centre of excellence for digital media and technology here in Quebec."

"Yellow Pages' digital growth and transformation is actively creating new jobs and opportunities that directly contribute to the growth of the Montreal economy in this key sector. Businesses like Yellow Pages, particularly given their national footprint, help attract, build and retain a high-value pool of talent in these areas," said Denis Coderre, Mayor of Montreal.

The Yellow Pages - Nordelec location will house approximately 300 employees, all dedicated to the creation, development and growth of Yellow Pages digital media properties. The Yellow Pages network of properties (online and mobile) sees over 1 million visitors each day.

The location is equally home to a start-up support initiative of Yellow Pages dubbed YP Labs, which allocates space and resources within this Yellow Pages location to start-up enterprises.
